Prime Group is a Swedish company founded by Carl Fredrik Sammeli and Folke Hammarlind in 1998. The group consists of the communication consultancy Prime PR and United Minds, offering comprehensive business intelligence services.
Prime is based in Stockholm and represented in New York, Sacramento and Brussels. The company has about 120 employees which makes it one of the major strategic communication firms in the Nordic region, along with Kreab and JKL Group.
Some of the current and former employees are Swedish politicians and media personalities. Among them are Sakari Pitkanen, former global editor-in-chief of Metro International[1], Thomas Idergard, former president of the Moderate Youth League, Niklas Nordström, former president of the Swedish Social Democratic Youth League, and Maria Rankka, current CEO of Stockholm Chamber of Commerce.
After the US presidential election of 2008, Prime produced a report and held seminars together with the Washington DC-based think-tank Center for American Progress, on the Obama administration's use of new technology. The First Tech President report[2] was presented in Stockholm, New York and Brussels, gathering prominent politicians like Margot Wallström and Anna Maria Corazza Bildt.[3]
Prime has received several international PR awards in recent years. In 2009, Prime PR was the most shortlisted agency for European Excellence Awards.[4]
Clients include IKEA, Electrolux, TeliaSonera, SCA, Audi, Stockholm County Council, Swedish Forest Industries Federation and Save the Children.
